The Powell Police Department Communications Center provides the critical link between the community and public safety resources. Seven full-time employees receive, coordinate and dispatch emergency and non-emergency radio and telephone traffic 24 hours a day for Powell Police and Powell Ambulance.

The Communications Center uses a Computer Aided Dispatch System (CAD) and Records Management System (RIMS). A recent upgrade to our center was completed in 2018 providing the implementation of Phase 1 and Phase 2 enhanced services for wireless callers.

We answer all 911 calls for the City of Powell and the surrounding area.

In addition to dispatching police services, we dispatch for the Powell Valley Healthcare Ambulance and provide emergency medical dispatching prior to Ambulance arrival.
