Patrol Division
Our Patrol Division is supervised by three Patrol Sergeants. A Sergeant is assigned to each of the three patrol squads. Each squad consists of a Sergeant and three Patrol Officers. The squads work rotating shifts to ensure the City of Powell is protected 24 hours a day. Each team has officers with specialized training including, Crisis Intervention Officers, Drug Recognition Experts, Evidence Technicians, Field Training Officers, Custody & Control Instructors, Firearms Instructors.
Patrol officers respond to calls for service, emergency calls, and traffic crashes. They are also responsible for enforcing city ordinances and state statutes, investigating criminal offenses, and traffic enforcement.
